I just finished work on a series of six idents for the Royal Bank of Scotland, ranging from five to 15 seconds in length. The text 'RBS Mortgages' spins and morphs in 3D to transform into a variety of houses. Directed by Filipe Alçada, their visual style is clean and simple but appealing. I produced three of the six idents in their entirety, including the one shown in the image above, called 'Scottish Villa'. These idents will initially be used in Scotland for sponsorship of property related shows on Channel 4, such as Grand Designs, Location Location Location and Property Ladder. In England at least, these sponsorship slots are currently held by NatWest—who are owned by RBS—so it is possible they could be re-branded when (and if) they come south of the border. All six of the idents can be seen at Bermuda Shorts' website.
